Danielle Penn

Q.    What's your drink of choice?

A.  Cappuccino

Q.  What do you want to be known for?

A. For doing things my own way and still wowing others with my accomplishments. But mostly, I want to be known for my heart more than my mind.

Q. If your life was a song title, what would it be called?

A.  Live. Laugh. Love.

Q. What's next for you to accomplish?

A. I want to fulfill the vision I have for my business. I’d like to open an electrolysis school in northern New Jersey and, I’d like to purchase a building that will lease space to predominately minority owned & operated businesses offering complementary, self-care services like: massage therapy, skincare, acupuncture, endocrinology, dermatology and mental health. Each business would be able to leverage the same customer base without competing with each other, and the customers can go to a single location for many of their self-care services. I’d also like to make this space available for different support groups for women and/or LGBTQ focus areas. Then I’d like to stand-up other locations and replicate this model.

Q.  How do you take your coffee?

A. Light & sweet

Q. One piece of life advice you'd give our readers? Get to know yourself and keep striving to become the person you never want to stop loving. Making yourself happy is very different than keeping yourself happy. If you don’t truly know yourself, you don’t stand a chance at ever knowing true happiness.

A. One piece of career advice you'd give our readers?

Q.  Don’t lock yourself into a single career path. Gain exposure to as many industries as possible making sure they all represent something you are passionate about. Also, when you job search, never apply for a job if you think you meet all the qualifications. If you get to the table already knowing how to do everything, what else is there to learn? There has to be more in it for you than the money because money is never a long-term gratifier.

Q. Where do you drink your first cup of coffee?

A.   It depends on the day, but it always takes me a couple hours to drink it no matter what day it is lol. Mon-Friday I take my first sip in the car on the way to see my first client around 6:45am. However, I don’t usually finish it until 11am or so, and by then I’m already back home at my desk, logged-on for my corporate job.  Saturday & Sundays vary.

Q.  Give us your best toast.

A. Have Sex & Be Merry!
